Cominciavo a non poterne più. Due mesi interi in officina, l'auto che iniziava ad andarmi stretta e mia suocera che immagino la rivolesse indietro da un po'. L'Insetto Scoppiettante è tornato in forma; sistemato lo scudo, rettificato il telaio, sostituita la forca e appena ritoccati i graffi laterali che, per onestà, avevo detto fin dall'inizio fossero stati fatti su ammaccature e graffi precedenti. 74.918 chilometri precisi. E poi stavo cominciando a diventare aggressivo; l'auto tira fuori il peggio di te e passi metà del tempo a insultare questo o quello per manovre stupide, perché va piano, per qualsiasi sciocco motivo. Poi è arrivato il caldo e grazie al cielo la tortura dell'abitacolo è stata revocata. Ora il parafango anteriore ha una buffa cresta cromata e non so se anche questo sia stato un errore nell'ordine o se semplicemente non li facciano più come prima ma poco importa. Quel che conta è che sono di nuovo sulla strada, nonostante la pompa della benzina che continua a fare storie e che prima o poi dovrò decidermi a far sostituire.
